The children's building is alive with excitement on Sundays.  Our children are excited to learn Bible stories, build strong friendships and a foundation in Christ. They are your children?  They are our children?  They are God's Children! First Baptist Church takes seriously Jesus' charge to let the little children come unto Him. Under the leadership of Stella Perrin and the Children's Council, First Baptist Church ministers to children through Sunday School, a Sunday night program and Wednesday night missions and a host of other opportunities specifically for children.

We are excited about our Rotation Sunday School Program.  There are several rooms, including a Temple Room, a Cinema Room, a Bible Skills Room, an Art Room, and a Computer Room.  The children rotate through each one of the rooms, one each Sunday, for 4 to 5 weeks.  In a different room each Sunday they learn the same Bible story in five different ways, through art, drama, viewing, games and computers. 

We have a station for nursing mothers in our nursery and two pre-school rooms with learning centers for kids.

There is a "parent and worker retreat room," designed to have the comfortable feeling of a living room.  Throughout the building are child friendly colors with various hues of yellows, reds, and blues.

All children from first grade through fifth grade are invited to worship with us in the Sanctuary.  This means they will be learning to worship by observing you and those around them.  They will sing the hymns, greet one another, pass the offering plate, and hear the sermon. 

We invite you to come and be a part of this exciting new program and experience the eagerness in our children as they search out and discover God's world and word.
